If you asked me, “Is (Adobe) Flash here to stay?”, I would say yes. Unless the Flash developer team become a lazy bum. Microsoft ‘hilariously’ trying to catch up with their Silverlight, but I’ve personally tried it and (what can I say) it’s so Microsoft, I mean the motion and all, feels like dead.
Speaking of development, Adobe just announced Astro (the code name for Flash Player 10) in MAX Chicago 2007 keynote, and it looks promising.
You’ll find this very technical, but just watch the screen.
How it handles the foreign character, special effects and on top of that 3D engine, never thought that Flash could go this far. And also they keep the file size low.
